Even liberals who support everything Hussein Obama and crew are doing have got to be just a little bit worried. Not for this country it seems, otherwise we would not have the government we have today. And please, don't anyone go be getting your T-shirts up in a wad over that statement. We have the government we have today because of both liberals and conservatives. The difference is liberals are still supporting the king's policies where conservatives never have, but too many basically sat out the last election and we are little more than observers even now.
er reason for liberals to worry, if not for the country but for themselves individually is that belief that "it" (it being the detrimental consequences of government screw-ups for the people) will never happen to them. Yeah, right. Flawed mentality on display there for sure because most of this stuff is blind, color blind, deaf/dumb and blind-blind and you will not be left off the receiving end of any of it.
A few examples:
The Washington Post - Senate cybersecurity report finds agencies often fail to take basic preventive measures
The message broadcast in several states last winter was equal parts alarming and absurd: "Civil authorities in your area have reported that the bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and attacking the living. Do not attempt to approach or apprehend these bodies, as they are considered extremely dangerous."
ie invasion was not something out of the "The Walking Dead." It was the federal Emergency Alert System under control of hackers -- who exploited weaknesses that are disturbingly common in many critical systems throughout government, according to a Senate cybersecurity report set for release Tuesday.
U.S. officials have warned for years that the prospect of a cyberattack is the top threat to the nation and have sharply increased spending for computer security. Yet the report by the Republican staff of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee says that federal agencies are ill-prepared to defend networks against even modestly skilled hackers. In the wee hours this morning PumaBydesign001 posted this - Belarus developers wrote Obamacare software inserting malicious malware to breach site
s need another reason to avoid the Healthcare.gov sites, we are now learning that the Obama administration (HHS) contracted developers in Russian linked Belarus to write the software program for the Healthcare.gov sites.
agencies last week informed Health & Human Services that software developer firm EPAM, who helped build the Healthcare.gov site, may have inserted malicious software creating a secret back door that would allow spying and countless cyber security attacks.
In addition, this illegal backdoor would compromise the personal information of millions of Americans who signed up for Obamacare vulnerable to identity theft and bank fraud. Healthcare providers, government agencies and medical institutions are also vulnerable. Continue here.
Not in the same cybersecurity vein (more like another whistleblower) but still in the "this effects all American's" theme - this article from last weeks news -
Dear America, I Saw You Naked And yes, we were laughing. Confessions of an ex-TSA agent.
It is a revealing and disgusting look into TSA. A couple of quotes and you can decide if you want to read it or not:
"Many of the images we gawked at were of overweight people, their every fold and dimple on full awful display." Or this - "...we would also sometimes pull a passenger's bag or give a pat down because he or she was rude. We always deployed the same explanation: "It's just a random search." All here.
WE - liberals and conservatives - need to get on the same outrage page on a whole lot of government negligence and/or lack of efficiency, ya think?
