Quoting Qur'an

Cross-posted at American Daughter

As the leading mouthpiece in the United States for Muslim scholarship, CAIR (see previous article) has betrayed the true motives of Islamo-fascism by striking out against our cherished institution of free speech. Nothing could be more fatal to democracy than the loss of our opportunity to express widely divergent opinions. If our Muslim citizens do not understand that, they do not understand America at all. We are in danger if we allow them to participate in our society without embracing our ideals.

By putting up a smokescreen of opposing terrorism, CAIR lulls the "politically correct" and unvigilant among us into apathy regarding their true purpose. The stated goal of Islam is to make the world a caliphate, ruled by sharia law. The rest of us are to have two choices--be killed or be enslaved. Here is a passage from Qur'an describing the ultimate victory. Three different translations into English of the same verse are offered so no accusation of bias can apply to the choice of translator:

Surah XLVIII: Victory

Translator, John Medows Rodwell -- Muhammad is the Apostle of God; and his comrades are vehement against the infidels, but full of tenderness among themselves.

Translator, M. H. Shakir -- Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves....

Translator, A. J. Arberry -- Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and those who are with him are hard against the unbelievers, merciful one to another.

In case you have any illusions about the lot of those who are outside this inner circle of tenderness, compassion, and mercy, go here.
