There Are Givers, and There Are Takers
Cross-posted at American Daughter Article © 2005 Allan Erickson America is in a fight for her life, both at home, and abroad. Abroad, as we wage a righteous fight against terrorism on behalf of all people, we also fight at home against people who cannot see the larger picture because they are blinded by self-interest. They don't understand the sacred dimension of sacrifice because for them, the only thing sacred is Leftist rebellion, a self-centered preoccupation with convenience and comfort. American "insurgents" now join our enemies overseas, essentially calling us the Great Satan, insisting America is not worth fighting for,... ... morePosted at 2:43 AM

Mike's Move
Cross-posted at American Daughter Radio talk show host Michael Graham was suspended without pay by Washington, DC radio station WMAL-AM on July 28 for correctly identifying Muslim extremists as terrorists. In an astounding failure to defend his right of free speech, the ABC affiliate, together with sponsoring advertiser Cadillac and parent company Disney. succumbed to intimidation by the Hamas front group Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). When CAIR continued to pressure them, saying suspension was not satisfactory, the so-called "American" Broadcasting Corporation radio station bent over still further and fired Michael Graham. One month ago he was a little known... ... morePosted at 1:04 PM

Torturing Bloggers who Fight for Freedom
Curt Hopkins founded the Committee to Protect Bloggers after reading an article about the detention and torture of Iranian bloggers. He writes that Iran has imprisoned more than 20 bloggers in the last six to eight months. Similarly, Bahrain imprisoned three moderators of BahrainOnline, a bulletin board service, including the chief, a blogger named Ali Abdulemam. And, of course, China has a huge number of "cyberdissidents" behind bars. Security police in Malaysia and Syria have hauled bloggers in for interrogation.... ... morePosted at 4:05 AM

Is The UN Disability Treaty Against Life?
(Cross Posted at Hidden Nook) (Catholic World News) The inclusion of unprecedented language making "sexual and reproductive health services" a human right garnered the widespread support of governments participating in a United Nations session that is drafting a treaty to protect and promote the rights of persons with disabilities... The passage comes under article 21 of the draft, "Right to health and rehabilitation." It requires nations to "[p]rovide persons with disabilities with the same range and standard of health and rehabilitation services as provided other citizens, including sexual and reproductive health services." Comments by Winston Churchill
Cross-posted at American Daughter: Here are Winston Churchill's comments on militant Islam of the 1890's -- a warning for the 21st century -- taken from a book that Churchill authored: "How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. "A degraded sensualism deprives this life... ... morePosted at 1:21 PM

Who Will Get Tough With Iran?
VIENNA (Reuters) - The U.N. nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, confirmed on Monday that Iran has restarted nuclear activities that had been mothballed under a deal with the European Union's three biggest powers. "IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei informed members of the (IAEA) board of governors that Iran today started to feed uranium ore concentrate into the first part of the process line at the uranium conversion facility," it said in a statement. (Source) With the United States delegating the potential Persian nuclear crisis over to Europe, Iran it seems has disregarded the world's viewpoint over it's nuclear... ... morePosted at 8:10 PM
