Jihad in Spain
Four news from El Mundo, printed edition 28 February:
The Costa del Sol has become a hot spot for Islamic terrorists (the newspaper say extremistas). The main body of the news lists a number of terrorists arrested in the area in the last years. Some of them were ready to perpetrate any suicidal terrorist attack at the moment when their superiors would decide.
Radical Shiite leaders meet in the offices of the PSOE in Fuengirola. The PSOE is the ruling socialist party. This happened at the beginning of February. Fuengirola is in the Costa del Sol.
Among the participants: Ali Bachir, representative in Spain of Amal, the political branch of Hezbollah, and convicts in arms and drug trafficking.
The PSOE claims that they lent the facilities to an Arab-Spanish cultural association.
Tunisian citizen recruiting terrorists for Iraq arrested. In Mlaga, again Costa del Sol. The number of recruits is still under investigation.
Police detects the arrival of an important number of Chechen Islamistes. The reason is not known by the police, but they do not seem to be tourists (in which case they would visit the Costa del Sol, I assume). Possibly, they are hiding after some terrorist action. Moreover, members of the FARC (Colombian guerrilla group) have also been detected. They are holding Venezuelan passport.
Four news in a day on Islamic terrorism in Spain? Yep. Time to wake up, dudes.
