Moratinos as a tipical Eurabian minister of Foreign affairs
In my first post at FZ I wrote on the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs: Moratinos proposes Eurabians should pay for Muslims' education
It will not be the last time. For instance, this week he made three pathetic declarations:
- Qatar "example of tolerance and dialogue"
Spanish foreign minister yesterday met with his Qatari counterpart, sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jabor Al Thani, in Madrid. Moratinos took advantage of the occasion to call the absolutist Qatar monarchy "an example of tolerance and dialogue." He praised the work of the emir, sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, in favor of women's rights within the framework of Zapatero's proposed Alliance of Civilizations. Qatar is a Wahabist state that applies the Islamic law, sharia, which allows no rights of any sort to women.
- Moratinos: Immigrant situation "serious but not alarming".
Foreign minister Miguel Angel Moratinos said yesterday that the current situation caused by illegal immigrants leaving Mauritania by boat for the Canary Islands is "serious but not alarming." On Monday a total of 331 immigrants were detained after having reached the Canaries in fragile open boats. Moratinos claimed the flow is due to the "successful" control of illegal immigration by Morocco, which has forced immigrants to leave from Mauritania destined for the western Canaries, rather than from Morocco for the eastern Canaries, a much shorter journey. The PP accused the administration of "flailing from immigration crisis to crisis." Moratinos declared that reports saying that half a million black African immigrants were waiting in Mauritania to sail for the Canaries were "a little exaggerated."
I agree that it is exagerated saying that they are waiting, they are only expecting to have the opportunity... In any case, this was on Tuesday. On Wednesday, "Spanish ship picks up 24 bodies off Mauritania".
A Spanish hospital ship picked up the bodies of 24 illegal immigrants 70 miles off the coast of Mauritania on Wednesday. They had been trying to reach the Canary Islands in an open boat. The search for more bodies has been called off. Canaries regional premier Adan Martin announced that he was forming a crisis cabinet to deal with the situation, which he called a "national emergency." Foreign minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, however, does not believe that the situation is "alarming." Some 2500 illegal black African immigrants have reached the Canaries since the beginning of the year.
Then on Friday he had to take some action:
- Moratinos: Mauritania "willing to cooperate" on illegal immigrant crisis
Foreign minister Miguel Angel Moratinos said yesterday that Mauritania is "fully willing to cooperate with Spain" on the crisis caused by black African illegal immigrants leaving the Mauritanian coast in open boats, destined for the Canary Islands, after a telephone conversation with Mauritanian president Col. Ely Ould Mohamed Vall. Moratinos said that he was sure that "a satisfactory solution" would be found to stop the flow of immigrants arriving on the Canaries coasts, stressing the "human tragedy" involved. Mohamed Vall expressed his "complete willingness to cooperate and deal with this situation." Moratinos declared that the immigration crisis might lead to "more profound reflection and strategy" in Spanish policy toward Africa. He promised an aid package to Mauritania.
Humm. Does is mean that we will have also to pay another blackmail?
