Said The Spyder To The Fly

As we learn that U.S. officials have found smoking-gun evidence of Iranian support for terrorists in Iraq - brand-new weapons fresh from Iranian factories, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a letter to the American people, fresh from the lie and deceit factory of Iran. Ole Mahmoud brings new meaning to the Shi'ite concept of al-taqiyya - lie, cheat, and decieve to gain advantage over one's enemies to further Allah's cause and the rule of the world by Islam, and trying to lure the American public into a nuclear trap, like a radioactive spider to a fly.

And speaking of spiders, Jules Crittenden reminds us that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is no fool, he knows his audience, and like the proverbial spider - is enticing Americans into his parlor.

He knows what to say and when to say it. He smells blood in the water and he's circling, but he'd rather do it the easy that the hard way. Put another way, "Come into my parlor, said the spider to the fly."

Sadly, there probably are a lot of people in this country eager to hear the tripe contained in Ahmadinejad's Letter to Americans:

Of course, leading the pack of eager listeners are none other than the American Left, and sadly, politicians that should know better - like James Baker and other members of the Iraq Study Group.

As Jules points out in his post, it's important to know what your enemies want you to think, especially when they see that your leaders are starting to think the way your enemies want them to. If only our political leaders understood this fact.

Question of the day: Did Howard Dean Write The Ahmadinejad Letter?

Ahmadinejad struck Democratic Party themes throughout his letter. He reviewed the liturgy of criticisms of the Bush Administration--there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq; the American people are losing their civil rights in order to fight terrorism; the Bush Administration has concealed the truth and blocks any portrayal of current realities; Palestinian mothers love their children and have a right to their homeland; the support of Israel at the expense of a Palestinian homeland is wrong; the Bush Administration is kidnapping people and holding them without trial; It is time for America to pull out of Iraq--these are just a few of Ahmadinejad's themes.
I think it's very safe to say that Ahmadinejad is a Democrat.
