Ahmadinejad Says Britain, Israel, US To 'Vanish Like The Pharaohs'
And he says it will happen because God promised him so (or so it seems since Ahmadinejad claims it's a "divine promise"):
[...] The oppressive powers will disappear while the Iranian people will stay. Any power that is close to God will survive while the powers who are far from God will disappear like the pharaohs," he said Wednesday, according to Iranian news agencies. So what is Ahmadinejad really saying here? Gina Cobb does a nice job of making clear Ahmadinejad's real meaning and intent in his statement, saying that this is a demand that the world convert to Islam and worship Allah, or die:"Today, it is the United States, Britain and the Zionist regime which are doomed to disappear as they have moved far away from the teachings of God," he said in a speech in the western town of Javanroud.
"It is a divine promise."
... "They are threatening us with sanctions. But they have to know that nuclear energy is the desire of all the (Iranian) people and the people will insist on their right," ...
[...] This week Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expanded his usual "death wish" list -- which routinely calls for the annihilation of Israel and the United States -- to include the United Kingdom. Can the rest of the West be far behind? Actually, no, because Mahmoud has also called for the destruction of Western civilization.
... truth be told, he didn't use the word "God." He used the word "Allah." It's misleading and inaccurate for the Western media to translate his use of the word "Allah" as "God" because Mahmoud is not calling for the West to be close to "God" as the West understands God -- quite the contrary. This is a demand that the world convert to Islam and worship Allah, or die.
[...] we should be sure to cover up our passivity with endless meetings and "negotiations" so it looks very much as if we're doing something, when we're not. Above all else, let's rule out any military option in dealing with Iran, because that would be risky and dangerous, but might also be effective. Be sure to criticize and attack any world leader who suggests that Iran needs to be dealt with by force.
Remember -- we in the West are too advanced and civilized to use military force against Iran, or anyone else for that matter. We've transcended all that. We are enlightened, superior beings who don't actually use armies and weaponry anymore, even if another nation is threatening our destruction and preparing to accomplish just that.
Then, when Iran finally launches nuclear attacks against cities we care about -- say, London or New York or Hamburg or Madrid, or all of the above -- let's point fingers of blame at whoever is in leadership positions at the time and -- under the threat of more cities destroyed -- let's submit to our fate.
Gina's sarcasm is well placed, since it appears that the West is content with sitting back, playing into Iran's hands, allow them to go nuclear, and let all hell rain down on the planet - courtesy of a mad radical Islamic regime and the Islamic terrorists it supports worldwide, that has clearly expressed it's intention of converting the world to Islam, or destroying it. Let's not forget that today, we are not only facing a second major conflict with Iran, but the West is confronted by the same theological regime, the same ideology of martyrdom -- and indeed by some of the same persons, that it did in 1979.
And we haven't learned a single damned thing about the regime's evil intentions and willingness to act since then, and our inaction and naivite' is going to allow us to be destroyed.
