'The President Shall Be The Commander In Chief

.... and other issues of law and history the Democratic majority may want to consider as Congress prepares its attempt to hamstring a president in a time of war.

Interestingly, the Democrat's obstructionism against the war on terror has been a consistent and never-changing theme, and they've never offered a reasonable alternative except surrender - as is exemplified by this November 1, 2003 commentary:

[...] As Democratic presidential hopefuls escalate their criticism of President Bush's policy on Iraq, we should recognize the constant theme amid their calamitous clamor: obstructionism in the war on terror.

No sooner had they joined with the president in resolving to go after terrorist targets and the corrupt Taliban government in Afghanistan did they begin their hand-wringing at the prospect that we were about to become bogged down in a quagmire.
