Contact your Congressman To Attend April 25 Screening Of "Islam Vs. The Islamists"
Via Gates of Vienna comes very good advice about what we should do about PBS' homage to Islamism in their recently aired so-called "documentary" (part of a PBS series called "America at a Crossroads"). It is supposedly intended to chronicle "the diversity of Muslim life in America" but gives an abundance of face time to anti-American Islamists and none to secular Muslims who want to reform Islam. Instead, extremists masquerading as moderates are lionized:
Please contact your Senator or Representative and ask them to attend a special showing Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 6:30 pm in Room 2247 Rayburn House Office building of the documentary "Islam vs the Islamists," about the struggle by moderate Muslims against Islamist extremists. This is the documentary that PBS has blacklisted and that liberals and CAIR are trying to keep from EVER being shown on any network.As M. Zudi Jasser has said, "When so many ask across the nation, "where are the moderate voices of Islam?", one cannot help lately but exclaim that they are being suffocated by misguided political correctness and by Islamist influence within mainstream media and government. The PBS censorship of the documentary, Islam vs. Islamists, highlights one of the best examples to date of the symbiosis of both government complicity and media complicity with the Islamist ideology."The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has not released distribution rights to the producers, and they are under great pressure from Islamist groups to ban the documentary from ever being shown. The producers are able to do small showings such as this one tomorrow in Congress, and if you can convince your representatives or their staff to attend, CPB may release distribution rights so this excellent documentary can be seen around the world.
