Glasgow Airport Terrorist Attack (Video)
"Maggi O" emailed us this link of the BBC coverage, and says that this link has one of the best summaries that she's have seen on the incident. The reporter has apparently done an excellent job of reporting the facts:
[...] Eyewitnesses have described a Jeep Cherokee being driven at speed towards the building with flames coming out from underneath.Continue reading more ...They have also described seeing two Asian men, one of whom was on fire, who had been in the car.
Strathclyde Police said two people had been arrested and detained in connection with the incident.
The airport has been evacuated and all flights suspended following the incident at 1515 BST.
[...] Eye-witness Richard Gray told BBC News 24: "A green Jeep was in the middle of the doorway burning.
"There was an Asian guy who was pulled out of the car by two police officers, who he was trying to fight off. They've got him on the ground.
"The car didn't actually explode. There were a few pops and bangs which presumably was the petrol."
[...] Stephen Clarkson said he helped police restrain one of the men.
"I managed to knock the fellow to the ground," he said.
"By this time there were four policemen who got on top of him and restrained him.
"His clothes had partially burned from his body. His hair was on fire.
"His whole body was on fire."
Thomas Conroy, a maintenance worker at the airport believes the men deliberately tried to set the car on fire.
"It looked like they had Molotov cocktails with them," he said.

[...] Eyewitness Stephen Clarkson told Sky News one of the men tried to open the boot of the vehicle but was not successful.Slide show/audio clip of interview here ..."Police tried to restrain him but the guy was quite strong and he started fighting off the police," he told the BBC.Eyewitness Simon Howard told the channel he spotted the car ramming its way in, with a man leaning out of the window holding a petrol bomb. He said a rag inside the bottle was alight and the man was trying to throw it.
"I grabbed my daughter and I screamed to my wife: 'Run!"' he said.Lynsey McBean, 26, from Erskine, Renfrewshire, said of the jeep: " They were obviously trying to get it further inside the airport as the wheels were spinning and smoke was coming from them. "One of the men, I think it was the driver, brought out a plastic petrol canister and poured it under the car."He then set light to it. At that point a policeman came over, the passenger got out of the car and punched him."
Taxi driver Ian Crosby, was in no doubt that it was a terrorist attack. He told the BBC he saw a small explosion which looked like it was coming from the back of the vehicle. "There was smoke coming from inside of the back seats," he said. "Immediately I realised this was a terrorist attack."
He praised the bravery of those who tried to apprehend the men in the car, " putting their lives at risk".
[...] One witness said bottles of petrol were shaken on the vehicle. "It looked like Molotov cocktails," he told the BBC.
Another man said he saw one of the men throw a can of petrol over himself and the vehicle. Eye witness James Edgar said an ordinary car fire burns itself out quickly, "but this went on and on".
