Terror Suspects Arrested In Denmark - A Harbinger And A Clue

In what is likely a new front in the war on terror, Denmark has arrested nine suspected terrorists in Odense after tracking them for "some time":

... The "some time" timeframe mentioned by the BBC almost certainly goes back to February or shortly thereafter. The aggregation of materiel by the terrorists within Denmark establishes their intent to strike within the country. The targets probably included the newspapers that published the cartoons, although knowing the Islamist strategic thinking, they probably also planned to target transportation and/or economic sites as well. The Danes, who refused to force the newspapers to withdraw the cartoons, prepared themselves to defend their liberty instead. It's a good lesson for all Western nations tempted to march the dhimmi trail rather than stand up for their freedom.

Up to a few years ago, I often visited Denmark and enjoyed every minute of it. Now, it's more like the rest of Europe - heavily infiltrated by Islamists. What's going on in Denmark now is the result of unchecked immigration and allowing Muslim radicals too much leeway in spreading their hate, violence and intolerance. To find this kind of problem in Odense is evidence of the reach of radical Islam.

It's a shame, and also a harbinger - with Europe serving as the canary in the coalmine for the U.S., and unless we recognize our own very similar problems with immigration and home grown Islamist-related problems, and do something about it now - we stand to experience the same problems. We should start by recognizing that the problem does indeed exist, that it's sole cause and basis has to do with Islamic fascism, and we refrain from blaming our country that has allowed too much freedom to those that wish to replace our Constitution with sharia law. One need no better example that immigration and home-grown run-amuck-Islamists are the sole cause and basis of the Islamic threat in Western countries than to learn of the latest set of arrests in Britain which uncovered more converts to Islam that in-turn become terrorists - this time with Caribbean roots.

Back on the immigration and home-grown Islamist issue, we have here a clue to the root of the problem. Have you ever heard of a Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Christian, or even an atheist convert strapping on a suicide belt to kill innocent people, or taking explosives and blowing up a train? Let's recognize where the problem lies; it's time we strap on a pair and ask ourselves - could the root of problems from Islam lie within Islam itself. And if so, let's find a way to deal with it together, Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
