Religion Of Peace Update: Video Released Of Kidnapped BBC Reporter Alan Johnston In Suicide Belt

This appeal video has just been released and is another video tape showing Alan Johnston where he is wearing what appears to be an explosive belt. He says the device will explode in the case of a military storm to free him.

US-based IntelCenter said the video, running one minute, 42 seconds, was put out by the group Jaish al-Islam (The Army of Islam).
The Army of Islam is demanding the release of Abu Qatada, a Palestinian-born cleric once labelled Al-Qaeda's spiritual leader in Europe, who is being held in Britain.

"If we do not reach an agreement and the situation worsens for us, we will have to turn to God and have no choice but to slit the throat of the journalist," a masked spokesman told reporters in Gaza on June 17.
