Has Osama Gone In Search Of The 72?
As Captain Ed notes, while Zawahiri has no trouble making public statements, the 50 second video clip of Osama that appeared on Jihadi web sites today with him promoting Islamic martyrdom and quoting Muhammad - was nothing more than an old recycled message and a very poor substitute for the real McCoy. Furthermore, he hasn't issued any recordings in over a year.
So, if that's the best AQ can do, it's suggestive that Osama has joined Zarqawi and may be still searching around in the ether for his promised reward, not having yet realized the 72 virgins either don't exist or they all look like Helen Thomas - a special kind of hell reserved only for Islamists.
