IAEA to Iran: Explain 2004 Documents For Building Nukes

"Why (was the American intelligence community) so intent on dismissing the threat from Iran that they reversed three years of high-confidence assessments of an ongoing nuclear-weapons program to replace it with a moderate-confidence dismissal?"If you were among the gullible and naive liberals that believed the American intelligence community when it issued a national estimate that claimed with moderate confidence that the Iranians had ceased work on a nuclear bomb by 2003, you were indeed gullible and naive. The IAEA has documents which dispute the NIE, and call into question the motives behind its creation. Back when it first came out,... ... more

'Looming Disaster': The Lieberman-Warner Cap-and-Trade Climate Control Bill.

Next week, the Senate will vote on the Lieberman-Warner cap-and-trade climate control bill. The proposed statute is a nightmare that would devastate our economy. The Wall Street Journal calls it "the most extensive government reorganization of the American economy since the 1930s." - PowerlineCheck out the nightmare of various regulations, mandates and timelines that Liberman-Warner would dictate, as charted by the Chamber of Commerce: (Click image to enlarge) As pointed out at Powerline, "The idea that American voters can change the Earth's climate is folly. The danger that voters could choose to cripple our economy is, however, very real." "Very... ... more

Obama Picks Up Critical Castro Endorsement

Great news for Obamaphiles everywhere: ""Obama picked up a highly coveted (as can only be appreciated by far left socialists and Marxists like Obama) endorsement earlier today when Fidel Castro called Obama "the most-advanced candidate" in the presidential race. Admittedly, "most advanced" sounds an awful lot like some of that elitist talk, but Castro's endorsement will surely dazzle them in Hollywood."" Like Dean Barnett jests at the Weekly Standard, "what could Obama possibly be saying and doing that make our enemies find him so appealing? Or does Castro merely have America's best interests at heart?" Let there be no doubt:... ... more

Internet Warrior Rallies Women to Support Al Qaeda

Will Europeans ever wake up to the threat from Muslim radicals that live among them - plotting the destruction of the system they themselves have created and then perpetuated by their naive tolerance of unregulated Muslim immigration? Feed them, clothe them, house them, and care for them, and give them freedoms they'd never have in Islamic countries, and still they will plot to destroy you. And now it's not just Muslim men:[...] BRUSSELS -- On the street, Malika El Aroud is anonymous in an Islamic black veil covering all but her eyes. In her living room, Ms. El Aroud, a... ... more

Media Continue To Ignore B. Hussein Obama's Troubling Communist Ties

As Wes Vernon notes at Renew America, Barack Obama burst upon the scene from out of nowhere only in recent months. Two or three years ago, he was an unknown outside his Chicago bailiwick and in some other Illinois quarters. Even his time in the Illinois State Senate was unremarkable. So how did this guy who speaks in slogans and never explains the thinking that goes into his statements literally leap to for this year's Democrat presidential nomination without media scrutiny of his past associations? As is suggested in Vernon's column, what do we really know about this guy with... ... more

The Fall of Lebanon: May 21, 2008 A Date Like December 7, 1941 And September 11, 2001 That Should Now Live In Infamy

(May 21, 2008) ... the supporters of the Lebanese government--the leadership of the majority of the Sunni Muslim, Christian, and Druze communities--capitulated to the demands of Hizballah. And who can blame them? With a steady drumbeat of terrorist acts and assassinations, with the Hizballah offensive seizing Sunni west Beirut, with the lack of support from the West, they concluded that the battle was unwinnable. In the way of a follow-up to Mike's post this morning in which he linked to Barry Rubin's "unusually despairing column about the fall of Lebanon," I'm posting more here to call attention to what I believe... ... more

Obama's Parallel Thinking And 'The Fall of Lebanon' '

"Make no mistake, Obama is channelling Neville Chamberlain--precisely because what he says shows his parallel thinking. Many people may get a chill listening to Obama but it certainly isn't a Churchill. Apologists, sympathizers, and wishful-thinkers keep endowing this would-be emperor with beautiful suits of clothes. He doesn't have any." Scott at Powerline points to Barry Rubin's piece at the GLORIA Center in Herzliya, an unusually despairing column about the fall of Lebanon, and then offers a summary that hastens us to the heart of Rubin's column - a critique of Barack Obama's reassuring assessment of the minimal threat presented... ... more

B. Hussein Obama's Embracement Of The Marxist Roots of Black Liberation Theology

Written back on April 2nd by Anthony B. Bradley, a research fellow at the Acton Institute, and assistant professor of apologetics and systematic theology at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, The Marxist Roots of Black Liberation Theology goes a long way toward explaining why B. Hussein Obama and his victim-wallowing wife Michelle have the far-left, Marxist, views that we see more and more everyday as BHO's facade is gradually pulled back on the campaign trail. Reading the following excerpts gives us an Aha.. moment, saying to ourselves, "So that's why he expresses such a Marxist ideology in his political... ... more

Is $12-15-a-Gallon Gas 'Inevitable' ?

According to Robert Hirsch, Management Information Services Senior Energy Advisor, in "the mother of all doom and gloom gas price predictions," $12 for a gallon of gas is "inevitable" and it could rise to $15 per gallon. And that may not be the worst of it; Hirsch predicts we could see rationing:"[T]he prices that we're paying at the pump today are, I think, going to be 'the good old days,' because others who watch this very closely forecast that we're going to be hitting $12 and $15 per gallon," Hirsch said. On Jihad And Euphemism: Calling Radical Islam By It's Name...

"Islamists are not waiting for "infidel" Americans to define jihad for them; they defined it themselves, a very long time ago." - Tawfik Hamid The Bush administration has recently come to the rather naive determination that a concerted effort should be made to make certain terms effectively off-limits in official communications - words like "Jihadist" and "Mujahedeen" (which should be replaced by "violent extremist" or "terrorist") and "Islamo-fascism." In the eyes of the administration, the use of such terminology boosts support for radicals by giving them an air of religious credibility, and turning off moderate Muslims who might otherwise sympathize... ... more

Pakistan Just Might Finally Be Getting Serious About Cleansing Tribal Areas Of Extremists

If we can go by what some recent reporting shows, Pakistan is serious about cleansing the tribal areas of terrorists and militants: Amid US concerns about talks between the new government and the rebels, the Pakistani military flew in reporters to show how it has sealed off the main access points to a nearby region where Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud is based. On one of the peaks which loom over Spinkai, Brigadier Ali Abbas tells how the 2,000 men of his brigade surrounded some 600 Taliban rebels guarding access to Mehsud's den in January. Turkish Ambassador to U.S. Calls Iran "a threat to Turkey as well as to the U.S." (Updated)

Andrew Cochran points out at Counterterrorism blog that anyone wondering whether the threat posed by Iran is "tiny" or substantial (is B. Hussein Obama listening?) should ponder what the Ambassador from Turkey to the U.S. said today at the panel on the Turkey-U.S. relationship. Ambassador Nahi Sensoy said that Iran has run "clandestine (nuclear) programs for more than two decades," and those programs are "a threat to Turkey as well as to the U.S." Granted, Turkey's method of dealing with that threat includes diplomatic engagement with Iran - the two have not been at war with each other since 1639... ... more

Global Warming Tutorial That The Liberal Media (And John McCain) Should be Required to Take

Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters suggests that one reason the liberal media, and John McCain as well, have blindly bought into Al Gore's global warming myth is that they are largely uneducated in matters of science. Before they report further on global warming, and especially the claim that it's man made, Sheppard says that they be required to take the following tutorial offered by Professor Bob Carter of James Cook University in Australia. Todays Change Of Pace Redux - Ofra Haza: If Only Her Message Of Peace In the ME Were Heeded

She was a cliché -- the ninth child of poor Yemenite immigrants, a star who made it from the back streets of South Tel Aviv to Hollywood, then came home. But she transcended the cliché. Ofra was Israel's pop star laureate. Her fans spanned generations and ethnic divides. She was chosen to sing in Oslo when Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres and Yasser Arafat received the Nobel Peace Prize. OPEC: 'There is Clearly No Shortage of Oil in the Market'

Former Iranian president Mohamad Khatami has essentially admitted as much in his surprising criticism his country's leadership yesterday for exporting terror to neighboring countries.
