California chapter of Hamas-linked CAIR to take down image of poster urging American Muslims to "Build a wall of resistance," and "Don't talk to the FBI"

We can now once and for all put to rest any question about the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) attitude toward law enforcement in terrorism investigations, thanks to the Muslim group's San Francisco chapter. A poster captioned "Build a Wall of Resistance" announcing a Feb. 9 event published on the group's website says, "Don't Talk to the FBI." A dark, sinister FBI agent is shown lurking in front of people's homes as doors slam shut:

From Fox News:

The Council on American Islamic Relations said they will remove a poster from their website promoting an upcoming conference that encourages people not to talk to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The poster, which appeared on the website of CAIR's California chapter, features a sinister looking FBI agent with the headlines, "Build a Wall of Resistance," and "Don't Talk to the FBI."

"I think it's subject to misinterpretation," spokesman Ibrahim Hooper told Fox News Radio. "We decided out of extreme caution to take it down."

As Robert Spencer points out, Ibrahim Hooper's "I think it's subject to misinterpretation," excuse holds true to the perennial pattern of claims that the source of any controversy involving Islam or Muslims has been "taken out of context."
... if one looks at CAIR's track record on things like expecting bizarre accommodations from the TSA and its unindicted co-conspirator status in a terrorism financing case, one might instead be tempted to read things like "a wall of resistance" as a rare bit of forthrightness.
The Investigative Project on Terrorism has much more on the story.
