Glasgow Airport Terrorist Attack (Video)
"Maggi O" emailed us this link of the BBC coverage, and says that this link has one of the best summaries that she's have seen on the incident. The reporter has apparently done an excellent job of reporting the facts: [...] Eyewitnesses have described a Jeep Cherokee being driven at speed towards the building with flames coming out from underneath. They have also described seeing two Asian men, one of whom was on fire, who had been in the car. Strathclyde Police said two people had been arrested and detained in connection with the incident. UK Magistrate Facing Disciplinary Action After Walking Out Of Court Because Defendant Wore Niqab
The fact that the magistrate is facing disciplinary action after he walked out of court when confronted by a defendant wearing a full veil speaks loudly about how Islamicized Britain has become (hat tip - MaggieO). And let's not forget that 40% of Muslims want sharia law in the UK. And the woman's statements of being "shocked and distressed" by her treatment, that she suffered "hurt feelings and felt intimidated and deeply embarrassed" by the treatment she received at court, that "she is also concerned for the feelings of others who were present in court," and that "She feels that... ... morePosted at 9:33 AM
Are 'Blacks too 'emotional' to obey rules'?
So Blacks are unable to control themselves? At least one Black moderator thinks so. The moderator of Thursday's Democrat presidential debate was asked by C-Span host Brian Lamb why he didn't enforce a no-applause rule for his PBS-sponsored debate like other debate formats; moderator Tavis Smiley replied: "Because black people are an emotional people. I know it wouldn't have worked." Smiley says the black audience attending the 90-minute session at Howard University would not have listened or complied with such a request for silence, suggesting African-Americans are unable to control themselves. Pelosi's Arrows Pointed In The Wrong Direction
If only the Dems could expend as much energy and arrows AGAINST our enemies as they do FOR our enemies, we might be winning the war on terror instead of losing it here at home will winning on the battlefield. Talking about numerous proposals that the Dems intend to be voted on by one or both chambers that would rescind congressional authorization for the Iraq invasion, ban permanent bases in Iraq, cut funding for combat and restrict the length of combat tours, Nancy Pelosi says, "We have many arrows in our quiver, and we are sharpening them."... ... morePosted at 3:03 PM
London Terror Plot Involves Islamic Extremists; Police Have 'Crystal Clear' Picture of Suspect
ABC News reports that British police have a "crystal clear" picture of the man who drove the bomb-rigged silver Mercedes outside a London nightclub, and he bears "a close resemblance" to a man arrested by police in connection with another bomb plot but released for lack of evidence. Officials say the suspect had been taken into custody in connection with the case of al Qaeda operative Dhiren Barot (pictured), who was convicted of orchestrating a vehicle bomb plot involving targets in London, New York, Newark, N.J. and Washington, D.C. CNN's 'Day Of Mourning For America'
Yesterday when I got home and turned on CNN I thought that some new unimaginable catastrophe had once again befallen our country. It seemed a day of mourning. Anderson Cooper spoke in muted tones and with a stern visage, the mood of the commentators was somber and the interchange restrained as if funereal, and you would have sworn CNN was flying the American flag at half-mast outside their studios - were it not for the fact that deeming themselves an "International News Organization with no quaint patriotic affiliations" I doubt they fly an American flag anyway, but had they flown... ... morePosted at 11:49 AM

Breaking via Sky News, people are being warned to stay vigilant after the "massive" car bomb, which could have killed hundreds of people in the iger Tiger nightclub in Piccadilly shortly before 2am., was defused in London's West End. The device, which contained 60 litres of petrol, a large amount of nails and several gas canisters, was found in a Mercedes early this morning. Suspected Mossad Agent Who Tipped Off Tel Aviv On Eve Of 1973 Yom Kippur War Dies
Thanks to Maggie for sending this story in. I haven't heard much about it on cable media yet, but as the article notes, if found to be murder and given last years assasination of the former KGB agent - Alexander Litvinenko, this story could send shockwaves across the Middle East and among some of Britain's wealthiest people. Walid Phares had a piece yesterday in The New Media Journal titled "Quick Lessons From The JFK Plot" that originally ran on June 4th, 2007 in the Washington Times. In his highly informative analysis of the arrest of three men and the search for another man, all of whom were implicated (allegedly by legal perspective) in a plot to kill thousands of people in and around the JFK International Airport, he offers that the root causes of potential terror acts in New York or Toronto in this decade have been triggered by a war of ideological indoctrination waged decades ago... ... morePosted at 10:27 PM

Forgotten And Suffering
[Image: Jhon Frank Pinchao holds a chain like the ones used by Colombian rebels to restrain him and fellow hostages. He escaped after over eight years in captivity.] Three US military contractors are still alive after being kidnapped by leftwing Columbian rebels years ago. That word came from Jhan Frank Pinchao, a Columbian policeman who had been held hostage by the FARC in the jungle for eight years (he walked for 17 days in the Amazon jungle to escape his captors, and says he had been with the three Americans for years (at night he had been connected to one... ... morePosted at 1:10 AM

Jihadists In Pakistan 'Luring' Children To Become Suicide Bombers
There's no end to the insanity of the ideology of Islamism. Now Jihadi groups in Pakistan's Dir district in the North West Frontier Province are "luring" school children to become suicide bombers: ... prompting some parents to send their wards outside the area for their education, a media report said Sunday. Hashim Hussain, opposition leader in the District Assembly, took up the issue on the floor of the House a few days ago, demanding that the administration should stop jihadi organisations from ruining the children's future. "I asked the assembly members if participation in jihad at such an early age... ... morePosted at 1:31 PM
Hitchens Rips The Befuddled Left A New One
One of many pointed quotes from Hitchens in his exchange in recent debate with the leftwing jihad apologist and author of American Fascists, Chris Hedges: "Every member of the 82nd Airborne Division could be a snake-handling congregationalist, for all I know, but these men and women, though you sneer and jeer at them, and snigger when you hear applause and excuses for suicide bombers - and you have to live with the shame of having done that - these people are guarding you while you sleep, whether you know it or not. And they're also creating space for secularism to... ... morePosted at 5:21 AM

60% of UK Muslims Deny 7/7 Bombings (Video)
A new poll of British Muslims by Channel 4 shows that nearly 25% of British Muslims believe the UK government was behind the 7/7 London bombings that killed 52 commuters on the London transport system, and 60% believe that Muslims played no part in it:The extent of scepticism among Muslims of the official version of events emerged in a Channel 4 News survey of 500 British Muslims, carried out by GFK NOP. The results are bound to be disconcerting for the government as it seeks to isolate Islamist extremists in Britain. ... The poll showed that 24% of Muslims believed... ... morePosted at 3:45 PM

Tens of Thousands of Hong Kong Nationals Mark Anniversary Of Tiananmen Square Massacre
Many more images at Free Thoughts ... Images of Beijing, June 4, 1989 here ... (The massacre at Tiananmen Square) MSNBC (hat tip World Hum - Tiananmen Square, 18 Years After the Massacre) has posted a terrific blog item by a correspondent in Beijing who visited the square today. A "teenage-looking girl" sat down next to the news producer, opened a map to look like just another tourist and said in a hushed voice, "Excuse me, do you know what happened here?" Amir Taheri: Talks with Iran Will Go Nowhere
Yesterday, John at Freedom's Zone, pointed to Amir Taheri's piece at Arab News in which he offers his views on the prospects for seeing results from the US talks with Iran. Readers will find it informative, with a bottom line that I for one have been waiting to here from a credible source such as Taheri: Since 1979, the real question with regard to Iran has been simple: Should the world kowtow to the Khomeinist regime or should the Khomeinist regime accept the global rules of the game? Maybe it is time to provide a clear answer.More at Arab News... ... morePosted at 8:39 PM
On 'Empty Gestures'
David Thompson has up an interesting piece today that references an article on Ayaan Hirsi Ali and highlights how many people imagine it's possible to "oppose" oppressive Islamic practices without offending religious sensibilities. Oddly, those who maintain this position never quite spell out how it's supposed to work:"'Believing' in the equality of women is very easy and conveniently vague, especially if one is unwilling to challenge the means by which cruelty and coercion are perpetuated, justified and enforced. Unless one is prepared to address the theological nuts and bolts of the matter, and prepared to risk offending some religious 'sentiments',... ... morePosted at 5:23 PM
Council On American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Implicated As Participants In Criminal Conspiracy To Support Hamas
No surprise here, as federal prosecutors name CAIR and two other radical Islamic front groups as participants in a criminal conspiracy to support Hamas:Prosecutors applied the label of "unindicted co-conspirator" to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, and the North American Islamic Trust in connection with a trial planned in Texas next month for five officials of a defunct charity, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. While the foundation was charged in the case, which was filed in 2004, none of the other groups was. However, the co-conspirator designation could be a blow... ... morePosted at 12:26 PM

'Republicans: The 81-percent Exodus'
(Image source: WorldNetDaily) Good job, Mr. President: ... In the wake of Friday's report about the Republican revolt over immigration, a companion WorldNetDaily poll shows some noteworthy results. As of Saturday morning (02 Jun 2007), 24 hours after the news broke, an eye-opening 81 percent of Republicans considered themselves part of the "revolt." Of those, more than a third favor the "creation" of another political party. (That's 38 percent of the 81 percent.) The total number of respondents was more than 3,300, which is more than triple the number of respondents for most "reliable" political polls. As made clear in... ... morePosted at 10:44 AM
The Syrian-Jihadi 'Highway' In Lebanon
Professor Walid Phares is the author of the recently released book, The War of Ideas: Jihadism against Democracies, a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and a visiting scholar at the European Foundation for Democracy. In his fascinating (to those who have been following Syria's virtual control and interference in Lebanon) article at World Defense Review yesterday, he addresses a ""curious "debate"" that he suggests is growing rapidly among a number of Western-based analysts about the "impossibility" of the existence of Syrian Jihadi-Salafist links, and goes so far as to suggest some analysts have gone to... ... morePosted at 9:48 AM
Security On Terrorists' Pipeline Target - 'A Joke'

Ahmadinejad: 'Countdown to Israel's destruction has begun' - 'Urges Hamas To Fight On'
Via Jihad Watch, we're reminded that Hamas has been given its marching orders from Iran - its spiritual and financial guiding light. Iran is the master; Hamas is their proxy. When Iran says "fight," Hamas fights. When Iran says "take a break," Hamas gathers itself for the next battle. Out Thought By The Enemy In Iraq
Ralph Peters has an informative read today at The NY Post, addressing our strategy verses that of our enemy in Iraq and beyond. Peters is critical of Washington's continuous arguing about the diagnosis when we should have already operated on the cancer killing Iraq, and says that while we've failed to develop a clear strategy and carry it out, the terrorists have proved more adaptable than we've been: We restrict ourselves to supposedly humane theories of counterinsurgency warfare that have failed us for 60 years; our enemies simply do whatever works - like manipulate the media:[...] The terrorists know where... ... morePosted at 3:21 PM
GOP tries to make English official
In what amounts to just another reason why the immigration bill is a sham, the English-language requirements in the immigration bill are apparently as toothless as the border security provisions, and some Republican senators want the bill to declare English the "national" language of the U.S. and the country's official means of doing business. Given the fact that the Senate is controlled by Democrats, their chances are about equal to the proverbial snowball:The fight is over whether the bill should call English the "common" language -- as it reads now -- or deem it the "national," or official language, which... ... morePosted at 6:24 AM
