Florida Physician Who Volunteered To Treat Al-Qaeda Losses Court Round
Common sense prevails in the case of the doctor who prosecutors say vows to treat al-Qaida members. Doctor Rafiq Sabir was arrested at his South Florida home in 2005 and has been behind bars ever since, and it appears that he'll remain there.Federal prosecutors accuse Sabir of providing medical support to wounded terrorists. He pleaded not guilty, and filed motions to dismiss the indictment, arguing it's unconstitutional to prosecute a doctor for providing medical services. But in a new ruling, a judge says under federal law, medical care counts as material support to terrorists. And the judge says charges are... ... morePosted at 5:17 PM

On Giving The Mullahs Too Many Passes And When Is Letting Iranians Get Away With Murdering 'Handcuffed' American Troops Too Much Of A Freebie?
Fox News and other media outlets report that the plan by the Bush administration to release detailed and possibly damning specific evidence linking the Iranian government to efforts to destabilize Iraq have been put on hold. If your response is that this is nothing new, the administration's decision follows a pattern of minimizing the involvement of Iran in killing and maiming U.S. forces in Iraq for years - you're right. I became disturbed and eventually reluctant to go for prayer after one day, the speach prior to the prayer included criticizing Christian priests for their vow of celibacy!! The Imam went even further and started criticizing Christianity in general and how the original bible was forged. I didn't have the courage to stop him and ask him to focus on our religion instead of criticizing others! I... ... morePosted at 12:29 AM

Is Islam A Culture Of Hatred?
As practiced by some Muslims, the answer is most definitely yes. As Nah·det Masr, a Muslim blogger living in Egypt points out: ... One blogger went even further to wish for the activation of an Islamic Shariya law calling for the execution of any Moslem who converts to another religion. ... I was later amazed when the same people who are criticizing other religions day and night, demanded an apology from the Coptic Pope after the circulation of a CD containing a play criticizing Islam performed behind closed doors in a church in Alexandria! A mob surrounded the church, one... ... morePosted at 9:13 PM

MS-13 in Tennessee
La Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13 is referred to as a dangerous gang, but they are more than a gang. They are murderers, rapists, thieves, and terrorists. They are a violent international criminal organization composed primarily of immigrants (many illegal aliens) or descendants of immigrants from El Salvador. Now they are in Tennessee. The Department of Justice announced the indictment of 13 members of MS-13 today which alleges that gang members killed three people and attempted to kill at least seven others. The indictment further alleges that MS-13 was organized in "cliques," including the Thompson Place Locos Salvatruchos clique (TPLS), which... ... morePosted at 11:14 PM

Dear Iran
Jules Crittenden has a few words for Iran:The Mahdi Army is engaged and destroyed. Without mercy, without ceasefire, without deals this time. Moqtada al-Sadr may be smart enough not to create a convenient provocation. That's OK. He is the criminal head of an armed criminal force. We create the provocation. He may be killed, or if it is deemed inadvisable to martyr him like his old man, he can be thrown into Saddam's old cell. "Iran. We are speaking to you... Do you hear us?" The aircraft carrier group Eisenhower has been diverted to Somalia, but that is temporary. Soon... ... morePosted at 9:08 AM

F.B.I.: CAIR Death Threat 'Not Credible'
As reported last night, on CNN's 'Paula Zahn Now,' the death threat that CAIR has been sending press releases out concerning has been deemed "not credible" by the FBI. This, according to the office of Senator Barbara Boxer. During the show, Paula Zahn stated, "Basim Elkarra says he's received hate mail, including a death threat, since the controversy erupted. Senator Boxer's office tells CNN the FBI has investigated, and the death threat is not credible." Elkarra, the Executive Director of CAIR's Sacramento, California office, had previously blamed the so-called "death threat" on Senator Boxer, using the issue to try to... ... morePosted at 9:27 PM

On 'The Islamification of Europe's Cathedrals'
Pajamas Media has a very interesting article that calls attention to Muslim moves to Islamicize Europe: During his trip to Turkey in November, Pope Benedict XVI refrained from praying or crossing himself when he visited the Hagia Sophia. Heeding the warning of Islamic protestors who hours earlier had shouted "Pope, don't make a mistake, don't wear out our patience," Benedict made every attempt to avoid hurting the feelings of sensitive Muslims who feared the Pope was attempting to reclaim the Hagia Sophia's status as a great Christian church. (Also known as the Church of Holy Wisdom, the Hagia Sophia was... ... morePosted at 7:37 AM

The Democrats Seek To Leave America With Catastrophic Choices
In a letter to President Bush Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate President Harry Reid said they want out of Iraq. It's over. The American people are sick of it. There is no reason and no will to keep fighting the war in Iraq. So, if America embarks down the Democrats' proposed road of retreat and total defeat in Iraq, where does it lead? Jules Crittenden offers a view to the possible future: ..... a dark age, in which brutal second-rate powers such as Russia, China, Iran and North Korea do what they choose to whom they choose without restraint.... ... morePosted at 8:22 AM

The Iranian Who Seeks An Apocalypse
Michael Burleigh's commentary at Telegraph.co.uk offers some chilling facts about Iran's president: {...} One person we will be hearing much about in 2007 will be Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He's the hollow-eyed engineer and town planner (and former Revolutionary Guard) who in 2005 went from being Teheran's answer to Ken Livingstone to President of Iran. He's the fellow stringing along the international community while his scientists try to manufacture a nuclear bomb before America or Israel decides to degrade or destroy key experimental sites. He says appalling things with demented glee in his eyes. According to today's Spectator, Ahmadinejad may actually welcome... ... morePosted at 11:01 PM
Finally an explanation for the 2006 election
Guido at Hyscience has a post and link addressing the electorate's willingness to hand control of congress to the party of defeatists:Considering the persistent and imminent threat from an assortment of anti-American forces many of us were surprised that the American electorate was willing to throw in the towel and hand control of both congress and the senate to the party which is known for its losing attitude. But now Arnold Kling at TCS Daily has provided us with a rational explanation: voters are largely irrational.I find myself in total agreement with Kling's key points - the great mass of... ... morePosted at 10:29 PM

Democracy in Egypt? Thanks but no thanks.
Prayer during working hours at a bank downtown Cairo While I have always been a true supporter of democracy in my country Egypt , recent events in the region are sending all sorts of wrong and worrying signals regarding the implementation of democracy in the region. Jesus and Imam Mahdi returning together
If you're interested in prophecy, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has suggested that 'Jesus would return to the world along with the emergence of the descendant of the Islam's holy prophet, Imam Mahdi'. It is well known that Ahmadinejad sees himself as the chosen one to bring forth the 12th Imam, to 'pave the path for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi'. The suggestion that Jesus and the 12th Imam would return to earth at the same time is something new and quite disturbing. U.S. Tried To Delay Saddam Hanging
A CBS/AP report says that US ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad tried to delay Saddam's execution for 15 days but Iraq's prime minister insisted on carrying out the sentence. As The Big Pharoah notes, this proves that the decision to execute Saddam on the first day of the Muslim holy feast was taken by the Iraqi government - alone. Chants heard in the leaked cell phone video clip sheds light on the fact that Saddam's executioners were followers of Muqtada Sadr - the anti-America Shia cleric in Iraq, yet Monday's Al Ahram paper published a cartoon depicting Uncle Sam handing a hanging... ... morePosted at 11:37 PM

ABC Attacks Fallen Soldier's Belief In The Afterlife
Incredibly, it appears that ABC has no problem adding religious insult to mortal injury in its coverage of the 3000th US service-person to die in Iraq, in which they seem to suggest that there is something odd or erroneous in a fallen soldier's expression of a traditional belief in the afterlife: Today's "Good Morning America" focused on the death of Army Specialist Dustin Donica of Texas, believed to be that 3000th serviceman lost in Iraq. Narrating the segment, ABC's Jonathan Karl stated: "The MySpace page he left behind bears the tributes of those whose lives he touched." The screen then... ... morePosted at 8:47 PM
